Recycle your old vacuum cleaner at The Good Guys this March, and get 15% off a new Dyson machine.
It's simple. Just take your old vacuum cleaner into The Good Guys until 31st March 2011, and look out for the Dyson We Recycle bin in-store. You can then exchange your old machine for a 15% discount voucher for a new Dyson machine. You can redeem the voucher until 30th April 2011. Any make of vacuum cleaner can be recycled in the Eco-trade + Save campaign - it doesn't have to be Dyson.

Every year, millions of unwanted electrical appliances end up in landfill. We estimate as many as 1.2 million of these are vacuum cleaners. That's a lot of non-biodegradable metal and plastic going to waste.
Dyson and The Good Guys are working together to take steps towards a more sustainable solution. Our Eco-trade + Save campaign is also supported by Planet Ark.
Turning unwanted vacuum cleaners into useful products.
Old vacuum cleaners collected in the Eco-trade + Save campaign will be taken apart, and their component materials sorted into different categories, such as metal and plastic. Metals are remanufactured into raw materials. Recycled plastics are used to make anything from plant pots to car dashboards. A lot better than simply dumping them into landfill.
