An engineering sketch of the technology within a Dyson air purifier.

Dyson air purifiers

Dyson air purifiers with HEPA filters for dust and allergies are engineered to treat the air you breathe, giving you a cleaner, healthier home. Breathe purified air, all year round.

What to look for when choosing an air purifier

Sensing. Filtration. Projection.
Automatic sensing, fully sealed filtration and long-range air projection are key to effective air purification. That's why they're at the core of our technology. And why we've been testing them for generations.

    Advanced automatic sensing

Senses microscopic particles, gases, VOCs, NO₂ , humidity, temperature and formaldehyde.2 Reacts automatically to detect, track and remove pollutants.

Fully sealed filtration to HEPA H13 standard

Advanced whole-machine fully sealed filtration with HEPA H13, activated carbon and SCO filters. So the pollution captured inside, stays inside.1

Frequently asked questions

Dyson has a range of heating and cooling air purifiers to choose from. To find the right purifer for you, compare the range using the comparison table above.

Yes, all Dyson purifiers have HEPA filters to capture 99.95% of allergens and pollutants as small as 0.1 microns.2

Dyson Purifiers heat or cool with purified air. They project a powerful airflow to heat or cool like most Dyson fans or heaters, but they also capture dust and allergens removing 99.95% of particles as small as 0.1 microns4

Dyson air purifiers feature a night time mode. This mode uses the machine's quietest settings. To ensure a comfortable night's sleep.

Dyson air purifiers and fans work differently to air conditioners. Rather than having cooling elements, using ambient air in the room, the purifying fan uses a powerful stream of airflow to cool you down. The cooling effect comes when the air, projected from the amplifier at velocity, passes over the user's skin. The higher the fan speed, the more powerful the airflow and cooler the air will feel.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, we are experiencing a stock delay for some of our Dyson air purifiers. You can register using the ‘Notify me’ button on our product pages to be the first to know when we are back in stock of the model you are after. In the meantime, explore machines in stock.

The Dyson Purifier remote contains a button battery. Please read Important safety instructions for product containing button/coin batteries.

WARNING. Chemical burn and choking hazard. Keep batteries away from children (whether the battery is new or used). This product contains a lithium button/coin cell battery. If a new or used lithium button/coin cell battery is swallowed or enters the body, it can cause severe internal burns and can lead to death in as little as 2 hours or less. Always completely secure the battery compartment. If the battery compartment does not close securely, stop using the product, remove the batteries, and keep it away from children. If you think a battery might have been swallowed or placed inside any part of the body, seek immediate medical attention. The button/coin battery is located inside the remote control.

1The ability of purifying a large room up to 100m2 (10m*10m) proven from a Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) modelling, with the purifier placed in a corner of the room running at the maximum flow and horizontal projection reaching 10 metres to fully mix the room. The projection distance was measured from internal flow reach testing under the maximum directional airflow. The actual performance in real life condition may vary.

2 Tested for filtration efficiency at 0.1 microns (EN1822, ISO29364).

3 Third party full machine testing based on GB/T 18801-2022 formaldehyde cumulative clean mass testing with continuous injection until plateau of formaldehyde CADR is achieved. Results may vary in practice.

4 Compared to adsorption by the standard carbon filter in Dyson Purifier Big+Quiet Formaldehyde (BP03).

5 Tested to JEM 1467 (acetic acid, acetaldehyde, ammonia), GB/T18801 (formaldehyde, benzene) and DTM-003282 (NO2). Gas capture rates vary.

6 Gas catpure rates may vary.

7 Tested for air projection, purification coverage in a 81m3 room and heating performance in a 35m3 room.

8 Particle challenge by DEHS oil specified in EN1822 within a chamber specified in ASTM F3150. Tested in Max Mode at IBR US, for whole machine efficiency above 99.95%.

9Dyson purifiers were challenged with airborne influenza A (H1N1 virus), MS2 bacteriophage and Phi-6 bacteriophage at independent labs, using a 30 m3 chamber for 60 minutes or 90 minutes (Phi-6) at maximum fan speed. Dyson Purifiers were also challenged with airborne SARS-CoV-2 (the virus that causes COVID-19) at an independent lab, using a 0.37 m3 chamber for 90 seconds. Real-life efficacy may vary.

10After reaching target temperature and maintaining it. Tested in a 35 m3 chamber when using the hot air mode and the product setting temperature is 25°C. Comparing with continuous operation with power consumption of 2050W. Results may vary depending on room insulation.
