Captures gases and pollutants. And keeps them trapped.

The machine's sealed filter combines an activated carbon and glass HEPA layer. Together, they capture gases and 99.95% of ultrafine particles from the air.3

Focused airflow, at your fingertips

Precisely control your airflow. By adjusting the dome's position, you can angle the flow higher or lower.

  • Airflow travels through the Dyson personal purifier fan's apertures, on each side of the convex dome

    Harnessing the airflow

Powerful jets of air are propelled through narrow apertures. The air travels across the convex surface of the dome.

  • The jets of air meet and a high-pressure core forms

    High-pressure core

The jets of air travel across the dome at high velocity. As they converge, a pressure core forms.

  • Purified air coalesces and is projected from the Dyson Pure Cool Me

    Focused projection

The jets of air are forced to steer around the high-pressure core. They coalesce to project a focused stream of purified air.

Frequently asked questions

Our personal purifying fan is recommended for use on desktops, bedside tables and side tables – near where you sit.

This machine is designed to deliver air to you, rather than to the whole room.

It's not connected, so doesn’t report to the app. However, information is displayed on the LCD screen – including fan speed, filter life, oscillation and sleep timer.

Great if you stick to its 'personal' small space ticket. Some issues when you push it further.

settings - Filtering seems to be top notch, air coming out of it is very very fresh. Cons: - IR sensor at base makes actually using the remote a pain in pretty standard placement scenarios - Noise is a bit intense / high pitch at higher settings - Mild engine whine at middle settings Summary: Perfect for what its designed to do: Cool a person in very close proximity with a very mild relaxing noise, and filter a quite small space like a small bedroom / study with top notch filter tech. Try to push it harder and there are some concerns. The one thing that really gets me about this fan is the design - because that is meant to be what Dyson are all about. The IR sensor for the remote seems to be right on the base of the device, which means its easily blocked by say, a chair in front of the side table it is sitting on. Making the remote almost pointless. Very weird they wouldn't have put the sensor (and display for that matter) higher up. On the plus side: It gives a nice focused constant flow of air, there is no buffetting to hear or feel, just a nice cool breeze. It is definitely a personal fan, as it says on the box, even at the highest setting you wouldn't want to be more than a couple of meters away from it if you want to feel a decent breeze even at full speed. But within this, it is definitely powerful enough. It is louder than a bob standard pedestal fan for the same air force. This is to be expected given its size and the fact its forcing air though a (brilliant) filter. It produces a very nice white noise, though maybe a higher pitch than you'd be used to with a regular fan. At the lower settings though the noise is perfect, very relaxing, though you'd need to have the fan fairly close to get a good cooling effect. But for a bedside table while you sleep application, I think this fan/filter is perfect! At the middle settings there is a mild engine wine sound which is audible over the air noise (at higher settings its overpowered by the air noise), which isn't ideal. It is very mild but I'm expecting perfection from Dyson. If you're primarily after a filter, it is very quiet at the lower settings down to basically silent at the lowest setting - though you would definitely want to limit filtering to a small room at these speeds.
