    Full-width roller hydration

26 hydration points are fed by a pulse-modulated pump for even water application to the rollers. So you wash with clean water from beginning to end.

  • The densely packed microfibre rollers removing pet paw prints from a hard floor

    Highly absorbent rollers

Densely-packed microfibre of 64,800 filaments per cm² delivers high absorption for a clean finish.

  • A cutaway revealing secondary rollers separating dry debris from the primary rollers

    Roller cleaning and waste separation

Secondary brush bars with nylon bristles remove large debris and hair from the rollers – while extraction plates squeeze off moisture. Debris collects in a removable tray, and waste liquid is pumped into a separate Dirty water tank.

Others use suction. We don't, for good reason.

Our research found that using vacuum suction for a hard floor cleaner could lead to unpleasant odours leaking from the vacuum exhaust.

So Dyson's engineers took a different approach – and developed an innovative system.

Frequently asked questions

Dyson WashG1™ wet cleaner is Dyson’s first dedicated wet floor mop for hard floors, picking up both wet and dry debris.

Dyson WashG1™ wet cleaner has counter-rotating motorised rollers – instead of vacuum suction – to separate large debris from liquids. Vacuum motors may also expel air back into the room which could cause odours. It also has a unique separation system where secondary brush bars with nylon bristles remove large debris and hair from the rollers – while extraction plates squeeze off moisture. Debris collects in a removable tray, and waste liquid is pumped into a separate Dirty water tank.

Dyson WashG1™ wet cleaner has 3 modes (levels 1, 2 and 3), plus a MAX setting. Levels 1 and 2 are for dry dust, hair and fibre and low viscosity spillages. Level 3 is for dry debris and high viscosity spillages. MAX setting is for stubborn dirt. You can switch between modes using the silver button. For MAX setting hold down the blue button. Level 1 is recommended for everyday quick cleans and on delicate flooring.

Dyson WashG1™ wet cleaner picks up and separates both wet and dry debris, and hair - vacuuming is not necessary prior to use on hard floors.

Dyson WashG1™ always uses hydration when cleaning, if you want to dry vacuum only - we recommend the use of one of our Dyson corded vacuums or cordless vacuums. You will need a vacuum cleaner for your carpets, upholstery, mattresses, pet beds, countertops, and inside your car. And for a thorough clean of your upholstery, mattresses or vehicle interior, we recommend using a handheld vacuum. This hard floor cleaner has the capacity to clean everything from fine dust, small debris and hair, to splashes and spillages, all the way to heavier liquid substances such as ketchup, syrup and oil mist – even stubborn stains such as dried food and toothpaste.

The Clean water tank has a 1 litre capacity whilst the Dirty water tank has a 0.8 litre capacity.

Up to 290sqm, based on Dyson internal calculation with no repeated cleaning on the same area, with 0.5m/s speed. Actual area coverage may vary depending on habits and floor types. We recommend using hydration level 1 to achieve maximum floor coverage on a single fill.

The Dyson WashG1™ wet cleaner doesn’t need to be cleaned manually after every clean. Instead, use the floor mop’s Self-clean function after each use. This is one of the many advantages of a wet floor cleaner, not only does it make effective cleaning faster, it’s also more convenient to clean and maintain. We also recommend cleaning you Dyson WashG1™ manually after every three uses.

When using floor cleaning solutions, do use gentle, low-foaming common household detergents and do not use bleach. Be sure to follow the solution’s specific direction for dilution - with a 1L clean water tank you shouldn't require any more than 1Tbsp of solution. We also recommend adding the solution after filling the clean water tank.
