Most Dyson cordless vacuums have click-in batteries. Press the red release button to remove. For older models, a screwdriver may be needed.

Only buy genuine Dyson batteries from dyson.com.au or authorised retailers. By using genuine Dyson parts and accessories you are ensuring your machine works as intended. Using imitation Dyson parts may result in your warranty becoming invalid.

Recycle it at your local battery recycling point or return it to Dyson for safe disposal.

Remove and rinse under cold water. Let it dry for 24 hours (until completely dry) before reinstalling. Read our filter cleaning guide for more information.

Most Dyson vacuums include whole-machine HEPA filtration. Check your model’s specifications. A Dyson cordless vacuum with a blue outer filter cap also indicates that it uses a HEPA filter. HEPA filtration has 99.99% filtration at 0.1 microns1 – trapping microscopic particles and allergens* and expelling cleaner air.

These are suction control sliders that adjust the suction seal for different floor types. The plus (+) setting increases suction for deep cleaning on hard floors and durable surfaces, the middle position is a balance setting for mixed surfaces, while the minus (–) setting reduces suction to prevent the machine from getting stuck on high-pile carpets and delicate flooring.
