Nothing contained on this website should be construed as granting, by implication, estoppel or otherwise, any licence or right to use any trade mark or logo displayed on this site without the written permission of Dyson.

Buying from the Website

  1. You acknowledge and warrant to Dyson that:
    • a) you are an Australian resident aged 18 years or over;
    • b) you will be liable for all costs, fees, charges and other amounts which may become payable to Dyson as a result of your use of this website;
    • c) you are not breaching any requirement of any applicable law relating to the privacy of personal information by providing the information to Dyson; and
    • d) all information (including credit card details) you provide to Dyson is true and complete.
  2. Your telephone order or on-line purchase order (as applicable) is an offer to buy from Dyson. All Australian orders should include a daytime delivery address and contact details. Dyson reserves the right not to accept an order at its sole discretion.
  3. By providing your details, you consent to receiving related communications from us, including confirmation that the order has been received by Dyson. Confirmation of the order does not constitute acceptance of your order. Dyson reserves the right at any time after receipt of your order to accept or decline your order for any reason (including stock run out), regardless of whether your order has been confirmed or your credit or debit card has been charged or paypal has been cleared. If your order is declined or cancelled by Dyson after the payment for the purchase, Dyson will promptly refund your payment to the credit or debit card or method you originally used for the purchase.
  4. Payment for the goods which you order must be made either by credit or debit card issued by Mastercard or Visa, or Paypal.
    • a) Your credit or debit card, or Paypal will be charged at the time of Dyson receiving your order and prior to the time that the goods are dispatched and received by you. Dyson will provide you with an invoice number as confirmation of the order. If your payment is rejected by the card issuer your order will not be dispatched. Payment is made at your own risk.
  5. If you pre-order for the goods, order goods which are currently out of stock, or book a delivery slot in advance, Dyson and its payment partners will authorise or reserve a charge on your credit or debit card, or Paypal for any amount up to the full value of the goods at any time between the order being placed and the goods being delivered. If the authorisation has expired or for any reason has failed, Dyson reserves the right to re-authorise up to the full amount, either before or after dispatch of the goods. In which case, Dyson will notify you via the email address provided during checkout. If Dyson does not receive re-authorisation from your credit or debit card issuer, or Paypal, then Dyson will contact you so that you can provide Dyson with another payment method. If in the unlikely event that the price increases from when it was originally ordered, Dyson will contact you 7 days before requesting re-authorisation from your credit or debit card issuer, or Paypal.
  6. The price of the goods (including for parts and accessories) (inclusive of GST), the applicable delivery costs and availability of the goods displayed on this website are subject to change without notice. The title to goods will only pass following payment in full.
  7. Delivery dates of the goods are intended to be an estimate only.
  8. Orders will only be accepted from and dispatched to street addresses in Australia.
  9. Orders will be delivered by post and we aim to have the goods delivered to you within 5-7 days of the acceptance of your order, subject to availability of stock. Delivery of the products may be totally or partially suspended by Dyson during any period in which Dyson may be prevented or hindered from delivery by its normal means of delivery or supply through any circumstances outside its reasonable control, including but not limited to strikes, lockouts, unavailability of stock, accidents or breakdowns of plant or machinery. Dyson will not be liable for any damages not reasonably foreseeable arising from its failure to deliver any or all of the products.
  10. Any failed delivery attempt due to incorrect details provided by you must be paid for by you. Subsequent delivery attempts may incur additional delivery charges.
  11. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Dyson (including its employees, officers, agents and contractors) makes no representations about the materials contained on this website or any websites linked to this website.
  12. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Dyson (including its employees, officers, agents and contractors):
    • a) is not liable to you or anyone else for any loss or damage, however caused (including negligence), which may suffered be directly or indirectly, in connection with use of this website including but not limited to interference with or damage to your computer systems; and
    • b) excludes liability (whether that liability arises under contract, tort (including negligence) or statute) for any special, indirect or consequential loss or damage (including without limitation loss of revenue and loss of, or damage to, data) suffered or incurred in connection with this website.
  13. The Australian Consumer Law provides for statutory guarantees that cannot be excluded by law. The limitations outlined in clause 11, and anywhere else in those document, will not operate to the extent they are inconsistent with those statutory guarantees.

    Dyson may vary these terms and conditions at any time. Any variations become effective on posting. By making a purchase through this site after the terms and conditions have been varied, you agree to be bound by the variation.

  15. You may cancel your order at any time up to 14 days after receiving the goods by notifying us in writing either by:

    You must return the goods, unused and sealed in their original packaging to us at your expense to: Dyson Accessories, 8-10 Mangrove Lane, Taren Point NSW 2229. Note that if you fail to take reasonable care of the goods we might not be able to accept their return. Otherwise, we will refund the full purchase price to you.

    If your goods are being returned for a defect, please contact us prior to return. We will provide details on how to return, including a reply paid number to cover postage.

Privacy Statement (Warranty Forms)

Dyson Appliances Ltd (Dyson) may collect and use your personal information to provide you updates on latest products and services, to analyze and research on customer’s choice on products, to provide products and services you have requested and for other purposes relating or incidental to warranty (e.g. warranty registration, product recalls) (“the Purposes”). To do so, Dyson may disclose your personal information to its related bodies, business partners or third parties. Some of the recipients are located overseas, including United States of America, Amsterdam and United Kingdom.

If Dyson does not collect your personal information, then it may not be able to fulfil the Purposes.

Dyson v8 social soup influencer offer


    1. The instructions on how to claim and the Promotional Offer (defined below) form part of these Terms and Conditions. Participation in the ‘Dyson Social Soup Offer’ promotion ("Promotion") is deemed acceptance of these Terms and Conditions. This Promotional Offer is not valid in conjunction with any other offer.
    2. Claims are only open to Australian residents aged 18 years and over who have engaged with a Participating Social Soup Influencer during the corresponding Promotional Period (defined below). Claims are not open to companies, businesses and/or organisations of any description.
    3. For the purposes of this Promotion, participating Social Soup influencers are those in the participating State who have been issued with a Dyson V8 Absolute+ vacuum cleaner and physical promotional cards, during the relevant Promotional Period (“Participating Social Soup Influencer”). For the sake of clarity, if a Social Soup Influencer was not issued with a Dyson V8 Absolute+ vacuum cleaner and physical promotional cards, then they are not eligible to communicate the Promotional Offer.
    4. Employees (and their immediate families) of the Promoter and agencies associated with this Promotion are ineligible to enter. “Immediate families” means any of the following: spouse, ex-spouse, de-facto spouse, child or step-child (whether natural or by adoption), parent, step-parent, grandparent, step-grandparent, uncle, aunt, niece, nephew, brother, sister, step-brother, step-sister or first cousin.
    5. The Promoter is Dyson Appliances (Aust.) Pty Limited (ABN 50 073 072 509) of 8-10 Mangrove Lane, Taren Point, NSW 2229 (“Promoter”). 
    6. The promotion will be conducted with a selection of Social Soup Influencers (20 Boosters and 30 Soupers)  within New South Wales (“Participating State”) during the Promotional Periods as defined and outlined below:
       Promotion Dates and Times
       

      The Offer will commence at 11:00am AEST on Monday, 17 July 2017 and ends at 23:59 AEST on Sunday, 27 August (“Promotional Period”).

      Claims open at 11:00am AEST on Tuesday, 17 July 2017 and final claims close at 23.59 AEST on Sunday, 03 September 2017 (“Claim Period”).



    7. For the purposes of these Terms and Conditions:
    • "Promotional Offer" means a 25% discount off the full price of the Eligible Product (defined below) only as communicated on the Website (defined below) at the time the purchase is made.  To avoid doubt, discount will not be applied against already discounted or sale prices. Code is only redeemable on dyson.com.au and is not redeemable in-store or online with other retailers. Code cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer.  Code is valid for personal use only.  Subject to stock availability. No rain checks.
    • Eligible Product” means the following products (subject to stock availability);
  • Dyson V8 Absolute+, full price $999
  • Dyson V8 Absolute, full price $899
  • Dyson V8 Animal, full price $799

    Full prices of Eligible Products are current as at the commencement of the Promotional Period.

    • To claim the Promotional Offer, individuals must complete the following steps:
  • Be awarded a Promotional Card during an engagement with a Participating Social Soup Influencer;
  • Each promotional card will contain a unique discount code (which will need to be used to claim the Promotional Offer) and instructions on how to claim;
  • Individuals must then visit the Website during the relevant Claim Period corresponding to the Promotional Period, add the Eligible Product to their online basket; and
  • enter the unique discount code at the checkout and fully complete and submit their online purchase so that it is received within the relevant Claim Period as above to claim their Promotional Offer.
    1. The Promotional Offer is only valid for use on five (5) Eligible Products per person. Each Eligible Entrant must submit a claim within the relevant Claim Period as above. All valid claims must be made via the Website.
    2. The Promoter reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of claims and claimant’s (including a claimant’s identity, age and place of residence and reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel the order of any individual who the Promoter has reason to believe has breached any of these Terms and Conditions, tampered with the claim process or engaged in any unlawful or other improper misconduct calculated to jeopardise fair and proper conduct of the Promotion. Errors and omissions may be accepted at the Promoter's discretion. Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights. The Promoter's legal rights to recover damages or other compensation from such an offender are reserved.
    3. Incomplete claims will be deemed invalid.
    4. Claimants must retain their original unique code to be eligible to claim their Promotional Offer.
    5. If there is a dispute as to the identity of a claimant, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to determine the identity of the claimant.
    6. If for any reason a claimant does not redeem their Promotional Offer during the relevant Claim Period, then the Promotional offer will be forfeited.
    7. The Promotional Offer is not transferable or exchangeable and may not be taken as cash, unless specified otherwise by the Promoter in its absolute discretion.
    8. The Promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
    9. If this promotion is interfered with in any way or is not capable of being conducted as reasonably anticipated due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter, including but not limited to technical difficulties, unauthorised intervention or fraud, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to the fullest extent permitted by law (a) to disqualify any claimant; or (b) to modify, suspend, terminate or cancel the promotion, as appropriate.

Nothing in these Terms and Conditions limits, excludes or modifies or purports to limit, exclude or modify the statutory consumer guarantees as provided under the Competition and Consumer Act, as well as any other implied warranties under the ASIC Act or similar consumer protection laws in the States and Territories of Australia (“Non-Excludable Guarantees”). Except for any liability that cannot by law be excluded, including the Non-Excludable Guarantees, the Promoter (including its respective officers, employees and agents) excludes all liability (including negligence), for any personal injury; or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity); whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of the promotion.
    12. Except for any liability that cannot by law be excluded, including the Non-Excludable Guarantees, the Promoter (including its respective officers, employees and agents) is not responsible for and excludes all liability (including negligence), for any personal injury; or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity); whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of: (a) any technical difficulties or equipment malfunction (whether or not under the Promoter’s control); (b) any theft, unauthorised access or third party interference; (c) any claim that is late, lost, altered, damaged or misdirected (whether or not after their receipt by the Promoter) due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter; (d) any variation in the Promotional Offer value to that stated in these Terms and Conditions; (e) any tax liability incurred by a claimant; or (f) claiming a Promotional Offer and/or use of the Eligible Product.
    13. The Promoter collects personal information ("PI") in order to conduct the Promotion and for the purposes of processing sales. Claiming is conditional on providing this PI. The Promoter will also use and handle PI as set out in its Privacy Policy, which can be viewed at http://www.dyson.com.au/support/privacy-policy.aspx. The Privacy Policy also contains information about how claimants may opt out, access, update or correct their PI, how claimants may complain about a breach of the Australian Privacy Principles or any other applicable law and how those complaints will be dealt with. All claims become the property of the Promoter. The Promoter will only disclose claimant’s personal information outside of Australia if such disclosure is in accordance with the Privacy Policy.

Dyson v8 social soup online influencer offer

  1. The instructions on how to claim and the Promotional Offer (defined below) form part of these Terms and Conditions. Participation in the ‘Dyson Social Soup Online Offer’ promotion ("Promotion") is deemed acceptance of these Terms and Conditions. This Promotional Offer is not valid in conjunction with any other offer.
  2. The offer is only open to Australian residents aged 18 years and over who have engaged with a Participating Social Soup Influencer through their Instagram account during the corresponding Promotional Period (defined below).
  3. For the purposes of this Promotion, participating Social Soup influencers are those in the participating State who have been issued with a Dyson V8 Absolute+ vacuum cleaner and have posted about the offer on their Instagram account, during the relevant Promotional Period (“Participating Social Soup Influencer”). For the sake of clarity, if a Social Soup Influencer was not issued with a Dyson V8 Absolute+ vacuum cleaner and did not publish any content on their Instagram account in connection with the Dyson V8 Absolute+ vacuum cleaner, then they are not eligible to communicate the Promotional Offer.
  4.     The Offer will be available for one of the following promotional periods, as communicated by the Promoter to the Participating Social Soup Influencer:

    Batch 1: Commencing 5:00am AEST on Wednesday, 26 July 2017 and ends at 23:59 AEST on Friday, 28 July 2017

    Batch 2: Commencing 5:00am AEST on Wednesday, 2 August 2017 and ends at 23:59 AEST on Friday, 4 August 2017

  • Individuals must then visit the Website during the Promotional Period, add the Eligible Product to their online basket; and
  • enter the generic discount code at the checkout and fully complete and submit their online purchase so that it is received within the Promotional Period as above to claim the Promotional Offer.

    1. The Promotional Offer is only valid for use on three (3) Eligible Products per person. Each Eligible Entrant must submit a claim within the relevant Promotional Period as above. All valid claims must be made via the Website.
