Engineered for balanced weight distribution
In other handstick vacuums, heavy parts such as the motor, dust separator and filtration system are located close to the floor – away from the handle. This makes it awkward to lift the vacuum from one surface to another – particularly surfaces at different heights.
Using Archimedes’ principle of the Lever, Dyson engineers have shifted the centre of gravity. The weight is distributed differently. The motor and batteries are located directly above and below the hand, making the cleaning end lighter.
